Rosemary & Sea Salt Bar Soap

Grass-fed Beef Tallow: 

Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K and essential fatty acids making it a nourishing ingredient for the skin. It has a composition remarkably similar to human skin’s natural oils (sebum). This similarity allows it to be readily absorbed, providing deep moisturization and supporting the skin's barrier function which has a matching lipid profile.

 

Castor Oil:

Castor oil can moisturize skin, reduce inflammation, and fight bacteria, primarily due to its high concentration of ricinoleic acid. Its potential to heal and soothe the skin has been recognized for centuries. The antimicrobial and antibacterial properties can help cleanse the skin and fight bacteria that clog pores.

 

Olive Oil:

Olive oil is an excellent moisturizer, helping to lock in moisture and prevent water loss, which is beneficial for dry and cracked skin, especially in winter. It contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) that help stimulate the shedding of dead skin cells, revealing smoother, new growth all while the abundance of antioxidants, including Vitamin E and polyphenols, protect skin cells from damage by free radicals, which contribute to aging.

 

Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids such as Lauric acid that helps to hydrate and moisturize the skin, it also contains anti-inflammatory compounds that help soothe and reduce redness. The antimicrobial properties protect the skin from bacteria and fungi. It promotes wound healing by stimulating collagen production, and it is a good source of antioxidants which helps protect the skin from free radical damage and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

 

Sea Salt:

Sea salt gently exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells and dirt without harsh scrubbing agents, while the minerals help retain moisture, making the skin feel softer and more hydrated. The anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness.

 

Rosemary Essential Oil:

Rosemary essential oil has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that might help protect cells from damage and reduce inflammation. It has analgesics that might help relieve muscle pain, headaches, and arthritis pain. With its antiseptic and astringent effects may help fight acne, reduce inflammation, and improve skin tone. Distilled Water & Sodium Hydroxide:

Distilled water serves as a pure solvent for sodium hydroxide (lye), ensuring it reacts with oils to start the saponification process without contaminants that cause soap scum or rancidity. Sodium hydroxide's role in soap is to trigger saponification, a chemical reaction that transforms oils and fats into soap and glycerin, creating a hard, cleansing bar that can then effectively lift and wash away dirt and oils.
